The Honest, Sweet Wife NPC

Blank is a large-scale online VR combat game, and Chi Hui is a pretty, honest, and useless NPC, a mere background wife.

When her husband wins a monster fight, she cheers him on. When he loses, she comforts him.

Her world has room for only her husband. She only cares about her player husband.

But it seems her player husband has been hacked.

The actual account holder is cold and distant. He refuses her kisses and her hugs, and never speaks to her beyond what the quests require.

Now, with his handsome face, the account thieves are enthusiastically taking her monster hunting, making her new clothes, and even staying online for 48 hours straight without sleep to earn a couples' title.

When she opens her eyes, her gentle husband is there, holding a bouquet, gazing at her with longing and whispering sweet nothings. When she closes them, her rakish husband takes her horseback riding, hugs her passionately, and laughs obscenely in her ear.

With tears in her eyes, Chi Hui prays for her poor, cold husband, then spends a happy, romantic time with her new husbands.

Unfortunately, beautiful times never last.

One calm afternoon, her cold husband got his account back.

His dark eyes fixed on her. His face was bewitching and eerie, wicked as a man-eating ghost.

His hand awkwardly clutched her sleeve, and he asked, almost pleading, "Have you thought about me at all during this time? Even just a little?"

Chi Hui turned her fragile face away, quietly hiding the marks of kisses.

Of course she had.

After all, she was the game's universally recognized, honest, devoted wife.

She only cared about her husband.

Her cold husband smiled at her.

Chi Hui relaxed and looked up, moving to rub her cheek against his palm. The next second, she froze in fright.

Behind her husband stood many more husbands.

The gentle husband and the rakish husband were both staring at her.

Their faces were identically twisted with resentment.
