I, Whitebeard's Own Son!

XX was born three months premature. She developed slowly and was frail from birth. Even an ordinary bout of the flu could leave her teetering on the brink of death.

A child like that could never survive for long at sea.

But her father was Whitebeard, the emperor of the sea who ruled the waves. Thanks to her father and her brothers and sisters caring for her every moment, XX managed to survive.

But XX couldn't understand why her father always looked at her with such a heavy expression.

Why?

XX asked her most dependable brother, "Why does Dad always seem so guilty? Is he sorry because he couldn't give me a complete family?"

Marco, second-in-command of the Whitebeard Pirates, looked troubled. He couldn't exactly tell his little sister that Dad felt guilty because he had cut her out of the womb too early, directly causing her appallingly poor health!

As a ruler of the sea and a notorious pirate, Whitebeard's greatest concern in life was the child he had given birth to himself.

The sea was so dangerous. When the day came that he died, how would his frail child survive?

Whitebeard looked at his daughter's innocent profile and thought of his several outstanding sons. "XX, is there anyone you like?"

If not, Marco seemed like a good choice.

Ace was a bit young, but he was still a man worth entrusting her to.

XX beamed at her kind father. "Yeah, I like Shanks!"

Whitebeard: ???

Whitebeard reacted as if facing a formidable enemy. "No way! That redhead Shanks looks like a frivolous womanizer. You'd never be happy with him."

XX stubbornly covered her ears. "Daddy, you don't understand him at all. He said he'd make me happy!"

Looking at his daughter, who had been deceived, Whitebeard had only one thought.

He was going to kill Shanks

The blurb is tentative, pairing undecided. The protagonist is just teasing her dad.

It's just an idea for now. I might start writing it if it reaches the paid-serialization threshold.
