[One Piece] The Script

The Heartless Man and His Lovesick Maiden

The Figarland twins are always the center of attention in Mary Geoise.

The elder brother, Figarland Garling, was a superb martial artist. At a young age, he became one of the God's Knights, and in next to no time, he was heaped with honors and made their commander.

His younger sister, Figarland Lina, was a peerlessly beautiful princess, forever the pride of the Figarland family. She was Garling's other half, and the most important person in his world.

The commander of the God's Knights would never forget that day, when his own flesh and blood shyly told him she had fallen for a lowly commoner and wanted to sever ties with him for that man's sake.

"Brother, you don't understand. I dreamed it! Newgate will definitely become the strongest person in the world one day!"

That day, Figarland Garling swore to kill everyone in the world named Newgate.

When he saw his sister's blood-written letter, fury consumed his reason. Newgate became the name he hated most.

The Unyielding Soul

Ace met someone in the New World.

The girl always asked him, "Child, are we born owing our parents a debt?"

"But I don't want to owe her anything. I want to be free."

The girl gazed hesitantly at the boundless sea and murmured to herself: true freedom.

Back then, Ace didn't understand.

Later, he witnessed with his own eyes the freedom she wanted.

"I return my flesh to my mother, and my bones to my father."

Before the eyes of the entire world, she bled herself dry and carved up her own body, one cut at a time.

All her agony became true freedom within her clear and unclouded soul.

As she lay dying, she became the freest and most unyielding soul in the world.

At that moment, Ace was nearly driven mad.

Charlotte Linlin sparked the first clash between parental authority and human nature.
