Zheng Yicheng × Jiang Caishi

Alpha × beta

Zheng Yicheng has been top of his class, handsome, and good at everything since childhood. His biggest problem in life is having too many people chasing after him. One day, after losing consciousness, he learns that he's a hugely popular NPC in a hit dating game, known as the hardest character to win over. Countless players are eager to romance him and earn the game's one-of-a-kind rare achievement.

Zheng Yicheng: No wonder so many people are chasing me. Turns out they're all here to complete quests. :)

After learning this, Zheng Yicheng resolves to avoid the unscrupulous game, so he drags his childhood friend Jiang Caishi around to dodge the System's storyline.

To avoid the confession CG, he sticks to his childhood friend every day.

To avoid players bringing him breakfast, he moves in with his childhood friend.

To get through his rut, he hugs his childhood friend's clothes every day.

Unable to watch him keep putting his childhood friend through all this, Jiang Caishi says, "Why don't you bite my neck? I'm a beta, so I can't be marked anyway."

Zheng Yicheng: "!"

See? His childhood friend is the one who cares about him most, unlike that unscrupulous dating game, which only keeps shoving players at him.

After a while, Zheng Yicheng's plan works wonders, and the number of players drops dramatically. Satisfied, he says goodbye to his childhood friend and moves out of his place. His childhood friend, who's making a cake in the kitchen, doesn't say a word. A line of text simply appears over his head.

# This isn't how BL games are supposed to work!

# Why does his childhood friend want to romance him too?
