To find the human, the mushroom disguised himself and entered human society. At last, he found him in a building, but the human didn't seem to recognize him. So he could only wait outside the human's room, block his way whenever he went out, bring him little cakes he'd baked, and occasionally use his mycelium to remind him at night, helping him remember bit by bit.

He still had to work, and his first assignment after becoming a full-fledged employee was to take an energy gun and join human forces on an expedition to defeat a Calamity. After trekking across mountains and rivers, the mushroom finally reached his destination. Looking at the familiar scenery and the marks he'd left behind before departing, he thought, "???"

Wait, so the humans are planning to raid his home?

Later, to prevent his home from being raided, the mushroom had a "friendly" talk with the human and accepted his apology gift.

That night, looking at the gift the human had sent him on the bed, he happily wrapped his mycelium around the blushing human.
