Saving Him Is My Final Merit

The mass grave, the general's tomb, the crown prince's mausoleum.

As a Soul Ferryman, Qiu Muli initially paid little attention to the brief life of a certain man.

He was merely one soul among the many Qiu Muli ferried onward.

Until a little bamboo shoot he had casually brought to life gradually grew into the likeness of that man.

Only then did he understand: that man's life had been his own, too.

Unable to ferry him onward, Qiu Muli imprisoned himself in the abyssal pool for five hundred years.

Mo Zhixiu still found him, honoring him as a father, an elder brother, and a revered teacher.

He alone forgot that Qiu Muli had once been his unforgettable "Chishu."

"Who is Chishu?"

"The crown prince of Great Yan, the deposed crown prince."

"Who are you?"

"I am Great Yan's grand general. At court, they call me a traitor now."

"Why?"

"For Chishu."

A story where I forget you and you don't remind me, then I remember you and you forget me all over again.
