[Still writing for my personal tastes: a twisted, unsettling love story. If this isn't your thing, feel free to move on.]
[After much deliberation, I still want another taste of mature Mori. Not sure how long this will be, but it's probably a medium-length story.]
Chunai has a husband who was her childhood friend. He is always gentle and courteous, and knows just how to conduct himself. Chunai thought they would always remain a respectful, harmonious couple. Until half a month into their marriage, when she realized something was wrong with her husband.
Whenever night fell, her husband would sometimes go out. Even when he stayed home, he seemed to become someone else.
Those wine-red eyes were no longer steeped in tenderness. When they glinted, they seemed like a block of ice that would never melt.
Especially when those eyes turned toward her, the scrutiny and amusement in them always made Chunai shudder with fear.
Whenever they shared a bed, Chunai could never stop trembling.
When she woke in the morning, her husband would once again thoughtfully take care of everything for her.

Dr. Mori never knew there was a second personality inside him. This other person was calculating and adept at disguise, completely unlike his primary personality.
He also never knew that the other personality would always grip his wife's chin in the dead of night and warn her coldly:
"If you try to tell him on me again, I'll get angry. You don't want your husband to be disappointed in you, do you?"
And he certainly never knew that the other personality would take his wife out at night to see all the world's dazzling fireworks; that atop towering buildings symbolizing power, he had more than once tasted his wife's scorching tears and confessed the love he didn't dare speak aloud.
Until one night, he happened to wake up and saw the pink marks on his wife's waist and the tears in her eyes. Everything told him that something was very wrong.
He tried to reach out and comfort her, only to receive an intimacy she had never shown him before, along with a string of coquettish pleas:
"Rintaro, tonight... can you be a little gentler? He almost found out this morning..."
[Reader's Guide]
1. Any out-of-character writing is on me. The characters belong to everyone.
2. Once again, this is an unsettling love story. This is my take on Mori, and he's a mature older man.
3. Mori has a split personality, and the two personalities do not merge. (Personal preference.)
4. Both characters are adults, and they are each other's only love, body and soul.
