[Female protagonist's perspective]
Chen Yun transmigrated into the bewitching woman who drugged a powerful minister and forced him into marriage.
On their wedding day, her husband took his maid into the bridal chamber. On her very first day in the household, the principal wife sent her to the side courtyard to collect a corpse. The whole city called her shameless and said she'd die without a complete body.
The original owner's reputation was in tatters.
Chen Yun assessed the cards in her hand. The bad news was that there weren't many. The good news was that she'd never cared what people called her.
At a banquet, Chen Yun ran into her husband's sworn enemy, Meng Hezhi.
He kissed her forcefully in front of her husband. After that, he followed her everywhere, declaring that he wanted her to marry him instead.
Meng Hezhi was both a blade and a path.
Chen Yun hadn't decided whether to take him up on it, but at the very least, she needed to own that blade first.
Meng Hezhi looked almost exactly like her deceased boyfriend.
An affair? A replacement? Wasn't Chen Yun a replacement for Meng Hezhi, too?
Chen Yun never cared whose replacement she was. She only cared whether it was worth playing the part.
Whether she was pretending to care or playing the long game to land a big catch, Meng Hezhi was worth far more than his body.

[Male protagonist's perspective]
The first time Meng Hezhi saw the mistreated concubine in his sworn enemy's household, he recognized the soul inside that body. It was the girlfriend he'd loved for five years, a thousand years in the future.
She had transmigrated here, too. How wonderful.
Even though her identity was an obstacle, Meng Hezhi couldn't stand to see Chen Yun suffer. He did everything he could to protect her.
But Meng Hezhi didn't know that the soul in that body wasn't just Chen Yun.
The other her loved another man, nearly to the point of madness.
Later, Meng Hezhi stormed into the Pei residence and, in front of the assembled guests, slung Chen Yun over his shoulder.
No one dared stop this "living King of Hell". Even her husband silently backed away.
In the Meng residence, red curtains hung over the bed, and every door and window was sealed. The heady scent of an aphrodisiac filled the room. For three days and three nights, candle flames flickered and the bed curtains swayed without rest.
Chen Yun drifted through stolen pleasure without a shred of guilt, enjoying every moment.
Meng Hezhi, however, lay by her ear, full of wounded reproach.
"Don't leave me. I'll be good."
Chen Yun turned over and pinned Meng Hezhi beneath her, stroking his face with the back of her hand.
"I still want you to stay by my side for him. If you leave, who will I get to play him?"

[Reading guide]
1. The female lead has one body and two souls. Two romance storylines share the same body. Not a traditional pure-love pairing, not exclusive in body and soul, and not a strong female lead.
2. Includes infidelity within marriage, mistaken replacement identity, coercive pursuit, and characters with low moral standards. No one gets redeemed. If you are sensitive about the characters' morals, read with caution.
3. An alternate-history Northern Song dynasty, with a mountain of original worldbuilding. Happy ending, serious drama.
Theme: I long to be with you, and will not betray our love
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
On one hundred ways to eat potatoes
Hahahahaha, I really like the male protagonist's heart [covering face and peeking]
"He was waiting to see her panic, shame and anger..." This is a big bug for the author~ It should be Chen Xueluo[][]
