Yuta Okkotsu Turns Out to Be Exceptionally Unique

Okkotsu Yuta has just transferred to our school.

Looks: acceptable. Figure? Aura? Pass, pass.

My dry spell continues. Now I have another ordinary classmate.

“Um, Kano... You don't seem to be afraid of me...”

“There's no reason to be afraid. When you can control Rika, you're like this. When you can't, I'll deal with it properly. I don't think there's any need to be afraid in either situation.”

“Um, Kano, why are you so nice to me?”

“I'm not that nice to you. It's just that the people you've met before treated you too badly. I'm only treating you normally.”

“Kano, I heard that you, um... you had a... an ex...”

“An ex. What, are you as much of a gossip as Panda now?”

“Kano, could you... stop seeing other people?”

Oh? Now this is interesting.

“Why?” I looked at Okkotsu Yuta, who was asking me for something for the first time instead of simply going along with me. “What do you have to offer that would make me do that?”

He seemed never to have considered this. Even now, after saying it aloud, he still seemed to have no idea why he would try to stop me.

“I-I don't know either. Maybe I have no right to say something like that. But, but I really don't want to... I'm sorry. I... I'll try to make sure you don't get bored, Kano. Would that be okay?”

“Sure,” I said. “I won't see anyone else for now. Just do what you want, Yuta. This is more interesting.”

“Huh? Huh?”

Confused? He still hadn't met my standards for a target. Since he was just a diversion, there was no need to make any formal bargain with him, much less explain the details.

I thought this was as deep as my relationship with Okkotsu Yuta would ever get.

But then, during the time after he fell to Grade 4 and before he returned to Special Grade, his uniqueness went through the roof.

I want to see him lose control.

He's my new target. I've decided to pursue him.

1. The blurb may change to reflect the dialogue that actually appears later.

2. This is a short story. The female lead is very unconventional. Her views on relationships will be clear in the first chapter. If you can't accept them, I recommend not reading further.
