SpongeBob and Patrick.
In reality, they are linked by the food chain, the archetype of mortal enemies becoming the closest of friends.
A silly, brainless story for a change of pace. What if they really had counterparts, and they really existed in an underwater world?
In this second-parallel-world setting, SpongeBob transmigrates into a parallel world where everything follows the laws of ocean survival, and meets his good friend Patrick.
"Hey, Patrick! Patrick, do you still know who I am?!"
"Ah, Patrick, what's wrong? Ah!!! Don't eat me!"
The starfish lazily glanced at the strange marine creature that had suddenly appeared and claimed to be its friend, then did nothing.
This creature calling itself SpongeBob was lively and energetic, and even had two legs and two arms. It didn't look like a sponge at all.
Still, now that it mentioned it, there was something familiar about it. It resembled the creatures from before this world fell into disorder, those who grew up in happiness, mindless and foolish.
The starfish bared its teeth.
But it would still let itself eat that noisy sponge.
Everyone is anthropomorphized. After mutating, marine creatures evolved in order to survive and gained the ability to become human.
It's said that this parallel world was the inspiration for the original SpongeBob SquarePants.
Sure enough, it's full of twists and turns, and bleak as hell.
