There are people like this.
No matter what bad thing they do, others see it as deeply justified, even righteous.
Host, remember: Do not lose yourself while carrying out your mission.
Your task is to commit the most despicable, contemptible acts, and through them accomplish the greatest act of justice in this world: give your life for the cause.
He is a poisonous poppy, a wanton villain, a hypocrite with a heart of snakes and scorpions, a traitor who feels no loyalty to old ties.
Faithless, obsequious, and vile: every contemptible slur imaginable, every vicious word in the world, can be applied to him.
That is all they think of him.
Yet no one ever imagined
that one day, when darkness came crashing down, this utterly loathsome man would risk his life to stand in front of them all.
The protagonists watch as this young man, a villain/corrupt official/traitor/tyrant, fights to the brink of death to keep them safe.
As they stare in disbelief, the young man coughs up blood and turns to look at them. The sinister cruelty that once clouded his brow is gone. He is bright as a clear breeze and a luminous moon, his expression gentle as he gives a soft laugh. "Someone like me can die without much consequence. But you can't."
With that, he calmly goes to his death.
Years later, everyone wonders whether, during all those years he wandered alone through the darkness without their knowledge, he was ever afraid and cried like a child, with no one to save him.
Many years later, when people ask about him, they can only offer a bitter smile and say, "He was as radiant as a bright moon held close, with a heart clear as dust."
Whenever they hear people speak ill of him, calling him a despicable villain and condemning his vile deeds, they rush to defend his name again and again, their hearts aching with bitterness.
If even he was a villain, then are there any gentlemen left in this world?
They should have realized it sooner, but by then it was already too late.
To meet his performance targets by creating more secret identities, one unscrupulous protagonist has this to say: "What do your dead teacher, king, and colleagues have to do with me? Stop trying to pin this on me."
