That's Not That Kind of Toy!

On his way to a company’s new product launch, Yan Zhi ran into his ex, Jian Xunyan, whom he had broken up with a year ago.

And for some reason, the guy followed him the whole way.

After thinking it over, Yan Zhi realized it was because of the call he’d just taken:

“Yes… this model of toy still needs some testing…”

“…mainly for user comfort…”

“…and potential safety risks…”

Seeing Jian Xunyan getting more and more interested, Yan Zhi simply put the call on speaker so he could hear every word.

“The users say it gets wet too easily. Yan Zhi, test it again.”

He turned and saw Jian Xunyan’s face suddenly turn bright red.

Exes were like enemies, and seeing one again always brought out the worst in you. Yan Zhi suddenly had a mischievous idea.

“Sure, I’ll test it when I get home tonight.”

As he agreed and hung up, Jian Xunyan said in a hollow voice:

“I never thought you’d be doing this now.”

“That’s right,” Yan Zhi replied with a smile. “There’s a new product launch later. Would you like to come and see it, Young Master Jian?”

“No.”

The other man walked away, grinding his teeth.

A year later, and he was still so easy to tease, Yan Zhi thought. Just like before they broke up.

He opened his notes app and typed: “Test report for children’s toy water gun.”

Jian Xunyan had unexpectedly run into Yan Zhi hurrying down the street. He’d meant to mock and taunt him, but then he heard Yan Zhi say “toy,” “comfort,” and “safety risks,” one after another.

When he heard “gets wet,” he knew he hadn’t misheard.

Even though Yan Zhi was his ex, Jian Xunyan’s desire to mock and taunt him disappeared completely after hearing that.

Especially when he heard Yan Zhi cheerfully ask if he wanted to go to that whatever-it-was product launch.

Who goes somewhere like that with an ex?!

For days after leaving, Jian Xunyan was so bothered he felt like he had a bone stuck in his throat and couldn’t sit still. Every hair on his body was bristling.

Yan Zhi had at least been in a relationship with a rich heir like him. No matter how down on his luck he was, he couldn’t go and do that kind of work!

Yan Zhi had thought their chance encounter was just a coincidence. He was busy testing the new product and was in the middle of coaxing a child.

He never expected Jian Xunyan to suddenly appear, looking deeply affectionate.

“Yan Zhi, I’ve made up my mind. If you insist on doing this, then fine.”

“But you can only do it with me.”

Yan Zhi was baffled. “What?”

Jian Xunyan took a deep breath.

“I can go with you to that product launch from now on, too.”

As he spoke, he handed over an invitation:

New Adult Toy Product Exhibition. You and your partner are invited to join us~

Yan Zhi: ?!!

A cute, unknowingly cunning bottom × a jealous top who jumps to conclusions
