The blurb is still undecided.
The second book in the Swan X Violet series. I probably won't write it for a while, though I'm not sure when.
You should read the previous book, "Excuse Me, My Thirsty Demon Lord." This is part of a series and isn't suitable as a standalone read.
As I see it, the character dynamics for this book are currently:
The seme is a lovesick battle mage whose goals are to save the world and enjoy a proper romance with his student without disappearing, and to go from being her teacher for life to eventually becoming her husband. He's a battle mage who's become very distant from the front lines, and lately he's been studying the psychology of disaster victims and the origins of the calamities. He's gentle, but occasionally domineering, and believes that he and his lover depend on each other for survival.
The uke is a lovesick academic mage whose goals are to save the world and keep rescuing his teacher. He's become hopelessly absorbed in the Promethean project of shaping his teacher, and is growing ever more distant from academic pursuits. Lately, he's been plotting to capture or kill gods, angels, and fallen angels. He's blunt and proudly calls himself a genius, and believes that making sure his lover became a god was what love should have meant all along.
Writing this out has made me realize that the Violet in this story may be in a rather beautiful state of mind.
Content warnings:
1. The two leads have extreme personalities (Swan Uncle: Am I extreme too?) and may do all sorts of outrageous things. In other words, there are no limits to the potential landmines, and anything I haven't specifically warned about could happen. The only two things I can guarantee are no role reversal and a happy ending. (The warnings are this broad because there are so many possible triggers.)
2. Older seme, with an age gap. At the beginning of the story, they are 42 and 24.
3. The leads' relationship is completely unaffected, but each has admirers of their own. These characters have their own identities, skills, and roles, so they will appear throughout the story. Given the savior premise, I think it's perfectly normal for both the seme and uke to be adored by everyone. I won't avoid mentioning it, so readers who might be bothered should steer clear.
4. I've made them Europeans, so once the seme's injuries have gradually healed, they'll both eventually have broad, muscular builds. (Their physiques will change over time, though, due to battle injuries and scenes recalling their youth, so be aware.)
5. Both leads have periods of turning dark, and they do so at different times and in ways that are out of sync. There will be a phase where each, while darkened, attacks the other, who is still on the side of good.
6. Be sure to read warning 1.
Theme: What gets done depends on people.
