Diagnosed with a terminal illness, and trapped in an infinite-loop game.
Things being as they were, even with an enemy here, Leng Po couldn't be bothered to waste time on revenge;
There was a dessert shop outside the game whose treats he wanted to eat, but he figured he wouldn't live long enough to get out and have them again;
He had no interest in making new friends, and no important last wishes he felt he had to fulfill...
Except to save as many other players as possible.
Fine, then. His last wish would be to save people as best he could.
But before long, Leng Po discovered that all his enemies had somehow disappeared anyway;
He even got to taste the cake from his favorite dessert chain inside the game;
And a new friend kept circling around him, asking in frustration what his wish was and urging him to hurry up and say it.
Leng Po: ? I don't have a wish anymore.
His new friend kept stubbornly pressing him, trying to pry his wish out of him.
So persistently that Leng Po was left baffled. He finally countered, "Then what do you wish for? You go first."
Though for a while neither of them could figure out what was on the other's mind, they were still drawn to each other and grew close.
Before long, Bai Luangxue discovered that the game’s godlike realm could cure illnesses. Leng Po's disease had actually been cured long ago, but because he kept getting injured while saving people, he never got to feel healthy and comfortable.
Soon, Leng Po discovered that Bai Luangxue's strong suit was clearly hand-to-hand combat, yet he was spending more and more of his points on healer-type skills.
Battle-scarred saintly gong (possibly because he really does get injured a lot) x violent healer shou (possibly because he's really violent).
One-on-one, with a five-year age gap and the gong being slightly older. They're both good people, really.
Content notes:
* The plot mainly serves the romance. This infinite-flow story isn't focused on its plot.
* The saintly gong isn't entirely the gentle type. Leng Po can be quite prickly from certain angles, and loves to sneer.
* This couple probably won't be a second-chance romance, so unlike my other novels, they may not fall in love right at the start. It may be a slow burn, though I'll still write about their interactions before they get together, starting with admiration.
* These content notes may be expanded. I'll add anything else I think of in the author's notes.
Theme: Cherish life and care about others.
