A stunning catlike beauty with incredible strength but little worldly sense x Rei Furuya

Yue Wu is an ancient ragdoll cat demon who has only just taken human form. Ragdoll cats didn't exist in ancient times, though, and one day the Will of the World finds him and says it'll take him home.

Then, in the blink of an eye, he appears on a street in Japan in the 1990s. The people around him are speaking gibberish he can't understand, and he's back in cat form, unable to transform.

The Will of the World: I'm sorry I tricked you, but I'm really in a terrible bind. Could you help me with something? I'll pay you.

After an explanation, Yue Wu understands that this is a world inside a manga. When the main plot ends, the central characters will either die or be left crippled. With too little power to keep running, the whole world will head toward destruction.

The Will of the World borrowed him from his birth mother, the Heavenly Dao, hoping to change the ending with an outside force.

They only need to fool the manga and weaken its control over the plot while keeping the central characters alive, and they can save the world.

Following the Will of the World's instructions, Yue Wu devours souls at key moments before the main story begins: the chirpy little police officer? Devoured;

the curly-haired police officer? Devoured;

and the gentle undercover big brother with eyes the same color as his? Devoured!

The tough-as-nails, beautiful policewoman? Devoured, all of them!

After successfully saving a bunch of people, the year of Conan finally arrives.

Time can no longer be fast-forwarded or skipped, and survival suddenly becomes his top priority. His magic is suppressed in this world, so he needs food, and the souls kept warm in his demon core need food too.

On the first day of the first year of Detective Conan, the moonlight deepens.

Dizzy with hunger, Yue Wu staggers and sways down a street in an apartment complex, finally bumping headfirst into the leg of a man in gray trousers.

His trembling cat paws cling to the man. "Meow..." (I'm gonna starve to death.)

The man crouches down, and Yue Wu sees his face in the streetlight.

Meow?

His fur instantly stands on end.

Blond hair, dark skin. Isn't this the insanely twisted, terrifying villain from when I rescued the undercover big brother?

Help, Will of the World! There's a bad guy!

Wah, this cat is doomed.

But the bad guy doesn't eat cats. He takes Yue Wu home, doesn't mind his enormous appetite, and gives him delicious food and a comfortable place to sleep every day.

Ragdolls are naturally clingy, and once Yue Wu realizes his human isn't completely bad, he spends all day snuggling, licking, and clinging to him. Sometimes, when his human goes on a mission as Bourbon, Yue Wu secretly lends a "little" hand.

Until the Will of the World comes back online: Hey! Could you do something about the plot...?

At its urging, Yue Wu finds the Red Magic, inherits it, and regains some of his power. He also gets an accomplice through an introduction: Kaito Kid.

Every now and then, one or two of the souls in his demon core can wake up and help with his plans, though for some reason they all have complicated expressions whenever they see his human.

From then on, Yue Wu sticks to Bourbon when nothing's happening and calls on Kaito Kid when something is.

They come up with an unparalleled plan: pretend to be gods!

The manga's great villain organization's boss wants eternal life. What lives longer than a demon? They can also occasionally turn someone into a cat to reveal a little divine miracle;

Fool the boss, descend upon the boss as a god, and finally replace the boss!

The manga: ???

It's still here. It just has a new boss.

Of course, a few things go wrong along the way.

At home, Yue Wu is an innocent, clueless little cat who especially loves crawling into his human's bed at night to sleep together.

Rei Furuya is used to sleeping naked at home. Later, when he gets a ragdoll cat who loves rubbing against his bed, he doesn't change the habit.

After all, it's just a cat who doesn't understand anything.

One night, something beside him feels a little off.

Rei Furuya wakes instantly, his hand reaching for the gun beside his pillow. But when he turns and sees what's there, his breath catches.

A long-haired beauty with skin white as snow and innocent blue eyes, completely naked and looking at him with utter dependence.

Most importantly, a pair of dark brown cat ears twitch atop his head. When he nuzzles up close, he buries his face in Rei Furuya's neck, and his lighter-colored tail naturally rests across the wrist holding Rei Furuya's gun.

Yue Wu, not yet realizing he'd turned human: "Meow~"

Rei Furuya: !!!

In his daze, he seems to hear his deceased classmates screaming from heaven.
