The Human Raised by Monsters

Jiang Zao had a secret: he was raised by a monster.

Let’s call it Them.

They seemed to have no physical form and could appear anywhere, at any time.

Jiang Zao was troubled by this. “I’m taking a bath! Could you not come in?”

They silently crawled out through the crack beneath the door.

They had nothing better to do, and followed him everywhere, all the time.

Whenever Jiang Zao got a little close to someone at school, They turned into a shadow to scare them.

Jiang Zao could only sigh. “This is a normal amount of socializing for humans. Could you stop meddling so much?”

He should have been sick and tired of Their control and surveillance.

Then They suddenly grew weak and had to return to Their dwelling place.

But Jiang Zao couldn’t see where They were, and broke down sobbing.

*The blurb will be revised. I’ll probably start from when the monster finds and takes in the protagonist.

Theme: Look beyond appearances to see the truth.
