The Sky Screen Says That Eternal Emperor Is a Master Manipulator

I am the emperor of Da Qian. My talents are average, but I make up for it with diligence.

Above me is the hard-working, meritorious Retired Emperor. Below me is an exceptionally brilliant Crown Prince. Caught between them, I just do my job conscientiously and hope to make Da Qian bigger and stronger.

Fortunately, things have gone my way. The weather has been favorable, and the officials have all done their jobs. My time on the throne has been remarkably smooth.

Then one day, a sky screen appeared and broadcast my "reputation in later generations" to all of Da Qian.

I thought I would see words like "a steady ruler" or "a benevolent sovereign."

But the sky screen blazed with golden light, displaying these enormous words

[An emperor for the ages! The great reviver of Da Qian!]

[But this man is extremely calculating and good at putting on an act. He is the ultimate green tea!]

The entire court gasped, and the Crown Prince looked as if he were facing a formidable enemy.

Only I, sitting on the dragon throne, was plunged into utter confusion.

Tea? Isn't that something you boil and drink?

What on earth did I do in the future to deserve such hatred from later generations that they want to boil me in a pot?!

The entire court erupted in an uproar, their faith shattered.

They had always thought His Majesty was a good ruler.

Especially during audiences, His Majesty's eyes would often grow red, his voice would choke with emotion, and he would look as if he wanted to bare his heart to them.

Most importantly, every one of them was convinced that His Majesty's unreserved sincerity and special favor were meant for them alone!

But now the sky screen was telling them this was a tactic?! The ultimate green tea's killer move?!

That accursed "spreading his favor evenly"...

The ministers stared hard at the sky screen, their eyes growing dangerous. No, this "spreading his favor evenly" would have to become their exclusive privilege sooner or later!
