My Junior Brother Was Reborn After His Tragic Death

Tricked into falling for Cen Bufan, Xiao Fuyue abandoned his sect and stubbornly insisted on marrying a mortal.

His senior brothers and sisters, who had watched him grow up, were disappointed in him and avoided him. Only Senior Brother Lu Jianchan, who had just emerged from seclusion, made a special trip down the mountain to persuade him to turn back before it was too late.

Lu Jianchan said, "Fuyue, Cen Bufan is devious and no good. Don't let one thing blind you to the truth."

The hands that had held Xiao Fuyue’s when he was little reached out and gently patted his head. "Listen to me. Come back to the mountain with your senior brother."

But Xiao Fuyue didn’t listen. He looked up with a shy smile and playfully pleaded with the senior brother who was as much a father as a teacher to him.

"Young Master Cen treats me very well, Senior Brother. Don't worry about me."

"You're the best, Senior Brother. Once I'm married, I'll come back to the sect to visit you soon."

Lu Jianchan could still vividly remember the blush on his little junior brother’s cheeks. He never imagined that when they met again, his little junior brother would be dressed in bloodstained wedding robes, every spiritual bone brutally cut out, his insides hollowed and all life drained from him. He had clung to his last breath until Lu Jianchan arrived, but there was nothing he could do.

His little junior brother died in Lu Jianchan’s arms, with no one ever learning the truth.

Lu Jianchan developed a heart demon. He tortured Cen Bufan to death, slaughtered the entire Cen household, and fell into the demonic path.

In the last moments of Xiao Fuyue’s fading consciousness, he saw his senior brother holding his remains and softly kissing his forehead.

Then he was reborn at eighteen, before he had left the sect.

"Fuyue, I'm about to enter seclusion. Behave yourself and don't go wandering off."

His senior brother’s voice rang in his ears. At this point, he was still the serene and noble immortal of the Lingshan Sect, gentle and compassionate, with neither sorrow nor joy in his eyes.

Xiao Fuyue froze. When he came to, he hurriedly got up and threw himself into the arms of his senior brother, who sat perfectly upright, sobbing as he pleaded with him.

"...Senior Brother, Fuyue will behave."

"C-could you not enter seclusion just yet? Please?"

This time, he would listen to his senior brother.

He would always, always be very, very good...
