How to Play the Little Junior Sister

Tang Sui was slow, mild-mannered, not particularly clever, and not very quick on the uptake. She transmigrated into the body of the junior sister of Tianyu Sect.

The junior sister of Tianyu Sect was lively, cheerful, exceptionally gifted, and full of mischief. She was the sect's darling.

During her first transmigration loop, Tang Sui was discovered on the third day because she did not act enough like the junior sister. She was locked in the forbidden prison, where everyone tried all sorts of methods to make her switch back with the junior sister.

In loops two through eight, Tang Sui could not think her way out of it. She fixated on playing the junior sister properly, was exposed every time, and was forced to die in the forbidden prison each time.

In the ninth loop, Tang Sui finally figured it out, much later than she should have: she probably would never be able to play the junior sister. So she turned around and plunged into a new obsession: escaping Tianyu Sect.

She tried to run every time and was caught every time, repeating the endings of loops one through eight. It was not until the eighteenth loop, after scouting the place four times, that Tang Sui finally managed to leave Tianyu Sect without a sound.

She severed her contract with her bonded spirit beast, erased her appearance with a transformation potion, destroyed her one-of-a-kind dual light-and-dark spiritual roots, changed her name, and cut away every feature connecting her to the junior sister. She was determined never to die in Tianyu Sect's forbidden prison again.

Tang Sui had thought it through. She had not chosen to transmigrate, and the people of Tianyu Sect had not chosen to lose their original junior sister. They were all victims, so they could call it even.

"So?"

"What?"

"Want me to help you get revenge while we're at it? Tianyu Sect is one of my enemies, you know."

"..." Tang Sui fell silent for a moment, then drew her sword with her usual mildness. "Yes."

She might have decided to call it even, but that did not mean she was not a vindictive bad person.

The water in the forbidden prison is so cold. You can all go down there and try it.

They are good people and immortals by the world's standards. To me alone, they are villains and enemies.
