A Carefree Life in the Qing Palace

Aisin Gioro Yinreng has been Reborn.

After the misery of his previous life, exhausted in both body and mind, he decides to give up completely.

But a person can't change their nature overnight. He needs an excuse, and Yinreng's excuse is that he's "given himself over to women."

Su Xiaoxiao, the daughter of a Suzhou salt merchant, is said to be the most beautiful woman under heaven. Yinreng takes her as a concubine, and before long, the entire capital knows how infatuated the Crown Prince is with her.

For her, he stops studying and attending court. He no longer cares about his father's pressure or his brothers' watchful eyes. All day long, he does nothing but carouse with Su.

Of course, that's just for show. In truth, Yinreng thinks that apart from being pretty, Su is useless in every way. She might even be out of her mind.

She is always frowning and weeping as she says, "I'm so pitiful."

But in reality, she insults the Crown Princess, bullies the secondary consorts, and doesn't even take Kangxi seriously. She's outrageously brazen.

Yinreng used to think that the struggle among the nine princes for the throne was the most exhausting thing imaginable. But after Su came into his life, he belatedly realized that it wasn't just exhausting. It was a complete headache.
