At the time, Salazar Slytherin was still a child, and he did not understand the meaning of these words. By the time he understood even a little of it, his life had already been stained with blood, and everything had turned pitch-black. It was not until he was twenty-seven, in a pitch-black forest, that a blond young man held out his hand to him and said, "Let me help you." Then, for the sake of that smile, he betrayed the warning his parents had given him all those years ago. For the first time, he said solemnly to the blond young man, "I'll take you with me... Gordy, come with me." No one could have imagined that their long journey would begin then, a journey so long it crossed time and reached beyond the boundaries of light and darkness. Oh, hahahaha! I can finally write about this most beloved pairing! This story grew out of one of my bonus chapters, though they're not really related. Pairing warning: Salazar Slytherin/Godric Gryffindor. Other pairings are still under consideration. I absolutely adore the Lion Founder, and I absolutely adore beautiful blond young men in the bottom role. He's my one true love! This story is divided into two parts: the first takes place a thousand years ago, and the second a thousand years later. The first part, set a thousand years ago, is long and drawn-out.
