Zheng Mingyi × Chen Boxu
Gentle wife × gentle yandere
Mingyi's life was just like his name: bright and blessed.
At twenty-five, he had a lover who had been his classmate, became a professor at a university, and held a respectable job. At home, he had a sweet younger brother who was the picture of filial affection and brotherly harmony. His future was bright.
But in the Republican era, same-sex relationships were still not widely accepted.
On Mingyi's twenty-fifth birthday, his lover broke up with him, choosing to go home and get married.
Mingyi was heartbroken, but heartache couldn't be taken home with him.
His parents had died, and he had been adopted as a child by Uncle Chen, a friend of his father's. Later, Uncle Chen's family also suffered an accident, and Mingyi and his younger brother, Chen Boxu, grew up together in the old family home Uncle Chen left behind.
They had a few servants, and his younger brother had always been well-behaved. Mingyi never had to worry about his studies; he was considerate and obedient.
When Mingyi came home with red, tearful eyes, his younger brother noticed how low he felt. Hugging a pillow, he stayed up all night talking with him, helping him figure out whether the two of them might still reconcile.
His younger brother nestled in his arms, playing with his hair and pecking his face. At nearly six feet three, he pressed down on Mingyi and murmured, “The pressure of society might be too much. Brother, you should give him another chance. You're so wonderful, he can't fail to see that.”
Mingyi nodded and stroked his head. “Be good. Let's not do that tonight. My eyes hurt from crying.”
Chen Boxu looked disappointed. “After you get married, will I not be allowed in anymore?”
Mingyi hesitated. As his older brother, perhaps he indulged him a little too much.
But Uncle Chen had been so good to him, raising him for so many years. Before Chen Boxu fell in love and got married, perhaps taking care of his physical needs was something an older brother ought to do.
Mingyi fell asleep in his arms as Chen Boxu forced their fingers to intertwine. Smiling, he said, “You were so little when you were young, and now you can hold me in your arms.”
As he drifted off to sleep,
Mingyi thought he heard Chen Boxu whisper against his ear, “Brother, if you have a child for me, you won't think about anyone else, will you?”
Six months later, when Mingyi's former fiance changed his mind and wanted to get back together,
the Chen family's gates opened to reveal Mingyi in a loose sleeping robe, his belly rounded.
“Didn't you say he was just your younger brother?”
Mingyi was confused. He was glad his lover had come around, and earnestly explained, “He just wanted a child... What's wrong with that?”
“Boxu is still young and still in school, but he wants to be a father. I could only help him...”
The top has an extremely possessive streak and is very dependent on the bottom.
Mingyi is a gentle wife who finds it hard to turn people down~ Mutual fidelity. This blurb is a rough draft and the premise may be polished. The younger man still deceives and forcefully claims his beloved, but other details may change.
