*Pairing: Buggy
A minor noble who had grown tired of Lilith's dancing sent her to an auction house, hoping she would fetch a good price. With the proceeds, he planned to buy another pretty slave who could dance.
In the auction house's back room, Lilith sat in a state of panic among a pile of treasures also waiting to be auctioned off, her hands bound in chains.
Just as she thought she might spend her whole life as a "tool" for dancing for others, a boy with a Red Nose and blue hair, who looked like a clown, appeared before her. He was skulking around and acting suspiciously.
When the "clown" saw her, he jumped three feet in the air in fright. His body split into dozens of pieces, and he pointed at her, shouting, "W-w-wait! Why is there a person here?!?!?!"
Lilith was also terrified by his suddenly split-apart body. "W-who are you? You... you split apart??"
The "clown" said his name was Buggy.
Buggy said he could help her escape, on the condition that she do her best to get as many of the treasures in the auction room's back hall as possible.
Lilith hadn't thought she would have a chance to escape, and agreed without hesitation.
Before Buggy rescued her, Lilith had lived in the "choir" organized by the minor noble, where she was responsible for dancing for him.
She knew nothing, and Buggy taught her everything himself.
Buggy said, "All the world's treasures are mine!"
Lilith repeated, "All the world's treasures are mine!"
Buggy got angry and said that he was the captain, so the treasures should be offered to him first once they found them.
So Lilith said, "All the world's treasures belong to Captain Buggy!"
Buggy taught her:
"It's so much fun to hurt people with nasty words."
"No matter who's at fault in the whole ocean, it could never be me."
"Pirates love treasure, so take it, take it."
"I really hope everyone stronger than me has a miserable life."
Lilith didn't understand what any of it meant, but she still studied seriously and put it into practice with enthusiasm!
Later, thanks to Buggy's words and example and her own enthusiastic efforts, Lilith became a famous, smiling schemer of a pirate strategist on the Grand Line.
She smiled sweetly. "What does it mean when Captain Buggy says something is final... Oh, it means if Buggy says one, then everyone who says two should wash their necks clean and wait to die."
Buggy: "Hey, hey, hey! You're making me sound like some villain who does every evil thing under the sun!"
Content warnings:
1. To be clear from the outset: I came up with the idea and wrote this in June 2026. If Oda-sensei publishes a detailed story about Buggy in the future, please treat this as a completely fan-created Buggy/OC romance.
2. The female lead's values and likes and dislikes were all taught to her by Buggy, and she likes putting them into practice. As you can imagine, she absolutely won't be a good person, so please don't expect a righteous, noble protagonist.
3. The story follows the original plot, starting six months after Buggy leaves the Roger Pirates.
4. The story ends after Buggy becomes one of the Four Emperors. If Oda-sensei draws more about Buggy in the future, I might push the ending back a little, but not by much.
5. A lighthearted, fluffy story with no angst. This may be my first time trying to follow the original plot, so my writing may be weak. Thanks in advance for your patience while reading.
6. Next up, I'm writing about red-haired mad dog Kid. See my profile: [One Piece: After I Became Kid's Underling]
