[One Piece] After Becoming Kid's Underling

* Kidd pairing, third-person narration, gender disguise, melodramatic fun. Enjoy!

For reasons I can't explain, I disguise myself as a boy and sneak into the middle of a firefight between two pirate crews, planning to steal the weapon they're fighting over.

The good news: I got the weapon.

The bad news: The captain of one of the pirate crews has me by the collar, glaring down at me with a dark expression.

He holds me up effortlessly, and my shoes are swinging half a meter above the ground.

...I'm done for.

I actually survived.

With my silver tongue, I somehow managed to save my life in the hands of this pirate captain named Kidd!

But he demands that I join his ship, become his underling, and work off my debt.

I look at Kidd's arrogant grin, then at my own skinny arms and legs.

...Fine, I'll be an underling. What else can I do, charge in stubbornly shouting, "I'll never surrender!" and get myself killed?! (sob)

When in Rome, be an underling.

To raise my standing in Kidd's crew, I start buttering him up with sweet words:

"Boss! Your taste is just so, so, so good! Please teach me!"

"Wow! You really are a high-ranking pirate! You can beat even an enemy like that without breaking a sweat!"

"Boss Kidd! How can I become as amazing as you? You're my idol!"

Kidd is so dazzled by my flattery that he starts to get a little fuzzy-headed, then hooked, then decides I'm his most loyal number-one underling!

He takes me everywhere and wants me by his side for everything.

...But could you please stop inviting me to bathe with you? You're a great pirate, do you really have to bathe with your underling?!

But my gender is eventually exposed in an accident.

Kidd finds out I'm a girl.

I panic and try to run away, only for Kidd to catch me in an instant.

His face is livid, as gloomy as if his wife, whom he'd finally managed to placate, were about to leave him!

Kidd clutches the hem of my clothes and shouts, his face red: "I already knew you were a girl! What do you want?! I'll give you anything!"

"Y-you... Will you be my wife or not?!"

...Well, now my face is bright red too.
