The Dragon Is Still Bowing to the Kitty Today

Western fantasy | 1v1 | Happy ending

One is a descendant of an ancient cat spirit clan, cast down to the mortal realm after failing his tribulation. A classic tsundere: sharp-tongued but soft-hearted.

The other is the youngest clan leader of the Black Dragon clan, the laziest dragon on the job, and a hopeless cat lover.

Their meeting begins with a failed "beauty trap."

The prince says, "Trade this cat for the princess."

The dragon says, "You can have the princess. The cat is mine."

The cat says, "...Did either of you bother asking what I think?"

Later on...

There's a new cat bed in the castle, a plate of grilled fish on the cliff, and a nine-and-a-half-pound chubby cat in the dragon's heart.

The prince thinks: I'll bribe the evil dragon with a cat and get the princess back.

The dragon thinks: I'll keep a cat for company. That's all.

The kitten thinks: I came here to negotiate, not to be someone's pet!

In the end, the princess goes home with the prince, while the dragon refuses to let go of the cat.

This is a love story about "the traditional business of kidnapping princesses being completely ruined by a cat," and also a story about "a cat who meant to run away but changed his mind along the way."
