A new infected person has appeared in District Five.

Wen Qi, female, civilian of District Five, 19 years old, carrier of the Zero Virus. First mutation: killed two civilians. Now apprehended and detained.

This was the thirty-first day since Wen Qi had been brought here. The Zero Prison had no view of the sky. Every day, she could only curl up in a special cell barely large enough for a bed. After learning she had become infected, it seemed that death was all she had to wait for.

One day, the door to her special cell opened. She had not seen the light in a long time, and raised a hand to shield her eyes. A tall, slender woman stopped in front of her. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, she looked up and met a pair of eyes as deep as an abyss.

Wen Qi didn't know why seeing this woman filled her with an instinctive, physical fear. The woman's gaze was detached, her brows faintly furrowed. Her ink-black hair fell over her shoulders. She was tall, with strikingly sharp features, and when she pressed her lips together and looked down at Wen Qi, she seemed even more imposing.

Wen Qi didn't dare speak. She only hugged her legs tighter. But the woman's black boots soon pressed down on her chest, and a silver dagger suddenly rested against her throat. The woman curled her lips slightly. Her words were both a threat and a warning:

"My name is Situ Qin. From today on, you're under my care."
