[Honkai: Star Rail] The Boss's Antique Wife

When he was young, Busi Tu picked someone up.

This person had old-fashioned ideas, but his face was simply too beautiful to resist. Young La Mancha couldn't help buying him, only for the pretty fool to say he belonged to La Mancha now and give the money back.

Fine, then.

When they got home, La Mancha discovered that this person was not only illiterate but also an old relic who didn't know how to use anything! La Mancha had to teach him everything by hand.

Hard work pays off. Though La Mancha had no idea why his lessons had turned the man into an old-fashioned relic, he was still quite pleased.

As the years passed, La Mancha married him in this little town.

Even before the wedding, the old relic had been careful to keep his distance from everyone else. After they married, he took it upon himself to dress entirely in black, covering everything but his face. When asked why, he said that as a wife, too much contact with other people would damage his reputation. What could La Mancha do? He took it seriously.

Then, when they went to bed, the old relic would cling to him and refuse to let him leave. Young people had plenty of fire in them. The old relic would often sob and call out softly, then collapse from exhaustion. By day, he would put on layer after layer of black clothing, covering his pale skin, long untouched by sunlight, and the broad patches of red kiss marks and bites.

Life went on like this until the old relic's subordinates found him.

For the first time, La Mancha learned that this man could speak in such a cold voice and seem so untouchable.

He had long suspected that the man might have lost his memories. Now that his suspicion was confirmed, he found himself unconsciously letting out a breath of relief.

He was also just about to leave his hometown and make his way in the world. He hadn't expected someone else to leave first.

The freshly revealed old relic, or rather, he couldn't be called that anymore. Those men in black all called him "Lord Lin Huai."

The wife dressed in pure black wore a pure black mask on his face. From any angle, he was just a black blob. That black blob climbed onto La Mancha, hoping to make her young husband leave something behind for him.

La Mancha's long fingers slipped into the gap in his mask and touched a tear-damp cheek. So the old relic really was crying.

In the end, La Mancha left behind a signature.

The author is a fictional historian. All the details about the boss's youth are made up, and so is the entire plot. Basically, it's all fabricated history.
