[Douluo Dalu] The Puppet Master

When Luo Yanzhi was six, he awakened a Martial Soul that no one could understand.

A puppet identical to him stood silently behind him, its gray-blue eyes like a mirror, or perhaps an answer.

Innate Full Soul Power, yet divided between two souls. The second son of the Duke's Mansion possessed a talent the world envied and a face that inspired pity, but no one knew that he had been born with loneliness as his constant companion.

His parents were busy with government affairs, and in that vast mansion only his older brother would occasionally come to check on him. When the world chose silence, he split his soul in two: one half to bear the loneliness alone, the other to promise it would always protect him.

"Don't be afraid," the gray-blue-eyed boy whispered deep within his consciousness. "I'll always be with you."

That was another version of himself, named Luo Yanzhi.

From then on, the lonely soul had a shadow of its own.

At Heaven Dou Royal Academy, the two boys, like twins, stirred up a storm. Wherever the puppet's threads went, the battlefield became his chessboard.

Only Luo Yanzhi knew how many earth-shattering secrets were hidden in that clever mind.

His older brother's increasingly gaunt figure, and the hint of discord beneath Crown Prince "Xue Qinghe's" perfect smile: the two of them noticed it all.

No one in this world can define what makes a soul whole.

Some are born to be the sun, shining brilliantly. Others willingly become a shadow, just to protect one person.

"Yanzhi," the gray-blue eyes looked at him in the darkness, as tender as they had been on that first night when he was six. "You have never been alone."

He was his creation, his weapon, his other half.

And the only person in the world who could reach his loneliness.

Mo Xi is writing another Douluo novel! This time, the protagonist won't follow Shrek.

The protagonist is a few years older than Tang San and has a split personality. It's a selfcest story. Mo Xi has taken a liking to this twin-in-one setup, so here's another book.

At Heaven Dou Royal Academy, he joins Yu Tianheng's team as its second control-type Soul Master.

Spirit Hall is still the antagonist, but won't be involved with the original protagonist's group.

Theme: What is wholeness?
