My Bully Sent Me a Hot Guy to Tempt Me, but I Used Him to Reach the Top! (Figure Skating)

The National Figure Skating Championships came to an end, and I beat Ruan Ran to take the women's singles title she had held for three consecutive years.

No one expected the first person to come congratulate me to be neither my coach nor my teammates, but Xie Yanci, Ruan Ran's star partner.

He was the brightest talent in figure skating, cool and distinguished, adored by everyone, and had always skated only alongside Ruan Ran.

But that day, he stood on the empty rink, looked at me, and spoke softly:

"Wen Xi, stop obsessing over your scores. Let's stop together and be two people no longer trapped by rankings, all right?"

I agreed without hesitation.

For a whole year, I deliberately ruined my competitive form. I made mistake after mistake, my ranking plummeted, and I became a good-for-nothing genius everyone mocked for throwing her future away for love.

Only Xie Yanci kept falling deeper for me, giving me all his tenderness, indulgence, and favoritism.

On the final day of the season, he looked serious as he urged me to retire with him and leave figure skating for good.

I remembered clearly that this was the ultimate goal of the bet he had made with Ruan Ran: to destroy my career completely.

I slowly pulled out the precious direct qualification for the national team at the Winter Olympics and looked up at him, his face suddenly drained of color.

"I don't regret wasting a year with you."

"But my path leads to the top of the ice. I can't stop here with you."

Theme: I lay low in the mud only so I can rise and soar.
