The Fallen God's White Moonlight Died in That Great Battle

He was the illegitimate son of a disgraced official's family, born under an ill star. Blind, he was abandoned in the snow to fend for himself. He fell so many times his eyes bled, and he nearly froze to death. I was my parents' precious darling, cherished in their palms. One day, I passed by and crouched down to take his hand. I taught him to read and even caught sparrows with him.

That lonely, unloved blind boy went on to top all three imperial examinations and become the most ruthless chief minister, feared by everyone. But I later learned he wasn't mortal at all. He was the most fearsome and cold-hearted immortal lord, Di Xiao, descended from heaven to undergo a trial.

Later, when my parents sent me to become empress, I thought that was the end of us. But after his trial ended, he returned to heaven and took me with him to the Celestial Palace. He stared at me as if he were going mad, yet he was perfectly lucid, and gave me headaches every day.

Then one day, he brought back a goddess who looked about seventy percent like me, saying she was the moonlight of his past. My heart went cold, and I willingly offered up my body, letting my soul scatter.

From that day on, the Six Realms feared him. He held my remaining soul and wept tears of blood, grew demonic bones, and slaughtered the gods and Buddhas of the heavens. The blood rain fell for a long time. No one dared say a word. They only dared call him the "Fallen God."

My remaining soul hadn't completely dispersed, and later I took up a sword and fought against him, protecting all living beings. I even gained followers below.

But I still died.

Hundreds of years later, on another snowy day, a girl who looked just like me held up a sparrow and asked him, "Brother, your eyes are healed?"

He froze for a long time, then raised his hand and gouged out his own eyes. Blood streamed down his face as he said hoarsely:

"I can't see anymore."
