The Unconventional Savior

When the Abyssal Demon King, Hill, invaded a powerful world, he encountered fierce resistance from human heroes. He was defeated and sealed away, barely managing to escape with a single wisp of his soul. To evade his pursuers, break the seal, and corrupt the world completely, he hid inside the soul of a kind human. After reading many of the novels in the human’s memories, he had a sudden idea: he would disguise himself as a savior System and guide this human to become a hero who would save the world, then overthrow human civilization from within. That way, he could break the seal, corrupt the world, and reclaim the peak of his demonic life. And along the way, using his knowledge of the Abyss to get his competing demon colleagues killed, then using their flesh and wealth to raise his Host’s strength, was perfectly reasonable too! Plan complete! But why was this Host so high-maintenance? One minute he wanted a mount, the next he wanted a wife. He really wanted to terminate their bond! - After transmigrating, Lin Si was bound to a savior System. The System’s AI wasn’t very advanced. It couldn’t connect to the internet, killing monsters gave no experience, it was stingy and irritable, and it often delayed quest rewards. It had to be a bootleg. If he had to save the world with this thing, the world was probably doomed. - The world of Akalan was sinking into the Abyss. Though the human heroes had defeated terrifying demons time and again, the world’s inevitable consumption by the Abyss could not be stopped… The human heroes were deeply troubled. Then, suddenly, a savior appeared. He improved crops, spread knowledge, built cities, trained new heroes, and defeated the Demon Duke. Amid the ruins, he built a prosperous empire unlike any the world had ever seen. Though people kept reporting that the savior was actually the Great Demon King in disguise, the highest sages among humanity tacitly suppressed the matter. He was the savior! Anyone who said otherwise would get a beating! Also, sincere thanks to the Abyss for its generous gifts. - Notes: 1. This is a nation-building story.
