Forget It, Let's Steal First

As the heir to a family of master thieves, you take the family business to new heights once it passes into your hands.

Stealing is practically in your blood, and you've turned that talent into something close to a conceptual ability.

The rookie reporter just starting out? Stolen from.

The young prince of Gotham, always out learning? Stolen from.

The dashing, debonair richest man in Star City? Stolen from.

Your codename is known far and wide, and your exploits are famous to all. As the undisputed world's greatest thief, you have so many wanted posters that you could make two decks of playing cards.

At the peak of your profession, you decide it's time to move on to the next stage of your life: finding an heir to your unparalleled craft.

After an exhaustive search, you finally find a promising candidate. He's a little old, but that's all right. Hard work can make up for what he lacks.

What? You say this promising candidate is close to death?

You're a master thief. Stealing someone's death is easy.

So, on a day that is neither sunny nor peaceful, you bring your brand-new student, road-weary, to the city you've chosen for his training: Gotham.

Your new student works hard and lives up to his talent.

You watch him grow with satisfaction, until the city's vigilante shows up in front of you.

Facing your former victim, now your student's previous teacher, you calmly look away and say gravely, "A natural birth is never as quick as a quick hand."

Isn't that right, Batman?
