She discovered she was pregnant, and that her husband had been killed by the monster she'd just encountered. In her grief and fury, she killed it to avenge her husband.
Afterward, Xia You Qianai received an invitation from the Time Government and became a Saniwa, fighting against historical revisionists.
After defeating the historical revisionists, Xia You Qianai retired and returned to the present day.
Only to discover that she'd been away so long, she'd forgotten that monsters existed in the present too.
So Xia You Qianai simply went back to the trade she'd practiced in her previous life. She bought a shrine and started making money by exorcising spirits and driving away evil.
But life still refused to be peaceful. Little Jie from the future had appeared in her home, and there was more than one of him, each from a different age.
What do you mean, future Jie dies at twenty-seven, and even after death can't rest in peace because a sinister curse user digs up his body and takes it over?
And why doesn't grown-up Jie inherit the family shrine? Why does he go off and start some kind of religion that hates monkeys?
So something must have gone wrong with Jie while he was still in school. He hit his rebellious phase and ran away from home, which led to everything that followed.
