[Everyone is drawn to the irresistible protagonist, with male rivals competing and growing jealous. A sweet, satisfying face-slapping romance with all the love interests being devoted to one person.]
Pretty, sweet, soft and adorable recipient x cool, doting, possessive top
One day, Yu Ran woke up to discover he was living inside a novel combining an irresistible protagonist, sexual fetishes, male rivalry, and coercion. Worse, he was only a cannon-fodder side character.
The story was unbearably melodramatic and trashy: Shang Ke, a cool and impoverished recipient, was specially admitted to the elite Saint Via Academy. His outstanding looks and aloof personality made the academy's F4 go from hating him to obsessing over him, until all four ended up in his harem.
As the name suggests, the Academy F4 were all heirs to powerful families, with immense influence and unfathomable backgrounds.
And Yu Ran was the vicious cannon fodder who liked one of the F4.
His only purpose was to bully Shang Ke, push the plot forward, and then, a dozen or so chapters later, be ruined until his family was destroyed before making a miserable exit.
The book described him as "pretty, wicked, and full of schemes."
Yu Ran, who had always been a good boy: ...?
Until he saw Shang Ke in person.
That face really was breathtaking, but with his tall, straight build and the aggression barely concealed beneath his cold eyes and brows, he didn't look at all like the kind of person who needed four men to pamper him.
Yu Ran genuinely wondered: Could I really bully him?
He soon learned the answer: He couldn't, but the plot could.
The first time they met, his body suddenly moved on its own. He lifted a hand and splashed a drink all over Shang Ke's face.
When Yu Ran came to his senses, he looked like he was about to cry. "I swear I didn't do it on purpose... Do you believe me?"
Shang Ke slowly wiped his face and replied coldly, "No."
The second time, he was forced to sneak into the pool locker room and steal Shang Ke's clothes.
He had just slipped out the door and regained control when he was about to sneak them back, only to crash into a rock-hard chest.
Clutching the clothes, Yu Ran struggled to explain in a small voice, "I swear I picked them up by mistake... Do you believe me?"
Shang Ke sneered. "No."
To avoid having his family destroyed, Yu Ran began carefully trying to win Shang Ke over, while making sure to smile at the F4 as well.
But the way those heirs looked at him gradually became strange and complicated.
They would lift his chin with the end of a fountain pen, pressing a fingertip to his soft lips. "Good boy. Open up."
They would brush the tips of their leather shoes against his ankle under the table, moving up along his calf, and coax him when he tried to retreat. "Baby, don't move."
They would leave a hot breath behind his ear, then bite the softest, most sensitive part. "You're so sweet to everyone... Tell me, how should I punish you?"
Yu Ran: ...Has this plot completely derailed?
Shang Ke had depended on his grandmother since childhood. He got into Saint Via Academy, a school full of the powerful and privileged, on a scholarship.
He didn't care about the cold looks and exclusion from those born to rule.
That was until he met one little idiot.
His name was Yu Ran. He had a face that made it impossible to look away, and eyes that were as dewy as a startled fawn's. And yet he was always doing stupid things to get Shang Ke's attention.
At first, Shang Ke found him annoying.
He had struggled at the bottom of society since childhood and seen too much false affection. He assumed this was just another rich kid's way of amusing himself.
But the little idiot's gaze was so sincere.
Hurt, afraid, and tentatively eager to please, like a small animal drenched in the rain. He was obviously terrified, but still insisted on coming close to Shang Ke.
Shang Ke realized he couldn't ignore him.
As the heirs' looks at Yu Ran grew more and more brazen, Shang Ke's patience wore thinner and thinner.
This little idiot could only belong to him.
Fine.
Since the little idiot liked him so much,
he would just give him what he wanted.
[Bonus Scene]:
Later, Shang Ke pinned Yu Ran against the headboard, his scorching breath tangling against his ear, fingers lacing with his so tightly it was as if he meant to meld them together.
"Baby, I only slipped inside by accident."
Yu Ran's eyes were red at the corners as he stammered, "I don't believe you!"
Shang Ke chuckled softly, kissing away the tears at the corner of his eye. His voice was hoarse. "You don't? Then let's try again."
Reader's Guide:
1. An over-the-top, melodramatic power fantasy in a fictional setting. The plot is silly, so don't overthink it.
2. The recipient is the soft, delicate type. When controlled by the plot, he can be a bit of a drama queen, and he'll also have emotional entanglements with other love interests.
3. The top starts out poor but later gains a new identity. He seems like a cold, penniless boy, but is actually possessive and obsessive, and dotes on his partner.
4. One-on-one ending, HE.
5. Not suitable for readers with strong preferences about relationship dynamics.
6. More details will be added if they come to mind. If anything bothers you, please stop reading.
