Player, But Fighting for Territory in the Contamination Zone

Lin Chaolu bought a single-player game and logged in. It was a great game, with plenty of freedom and interaction. The only downside was that the NPCs often froze up and repeated themselves.

That wasn't entirely a bad thing.

One day, he would go to a neighbor NPC's house to grab something. The next, he'd be hauling something else away from another NPC's place.

An NPC stiffly raised a hand toward him. "Ka-ba, ka-ba..."

Whatever they said, the player didn't care. The player was busy. He hoisted a refrigerator and ran.

The player killed a monster and acquired one plot of land. The player began farming.

The player killed a monster and acquired one shop. The player began trading.

Every day, the player diligently explored the map, fighting his way in and out of monster hordes. Before he knew it, the high-risk pollution zone had become his territory.

As the saying goes, what's an NPC's is the player's, and NPCs belong to the player too.

So one NPC guarded the entrance, one farmed, and one sold vegetables.

The player's territory flourished.

One day, a red-haired NPC suddenly shouted at him, "That's him! He single-handedly crushed the top three families on the leaderboard!"

Lin Chaolu was stunned. What? Who was that?

The player just attacked anyone with a red name.

The pollution zone had changed. Anyone could see it just by walking up to the entrance.

A mutant stood there. Whenever it saw someone, it stiffly turned its head and repeated, "Welcome! Welcome!"

Everyone: ?

At some point, a completely inexplicable person had appeared in their world.

He dressed in flashy, glittering clothes, and every step he took seemed to make flowers bloom beneath his feet. He loved to say "Skip" during conversations, always walked in straight lines when traveling, suddenly jumped onto tables, and suddenly started rummaging through trash cans. Wherever he went, chaos followed, and a whole crowd of people had no choice but to trail after him and clean up the mess.

They could do nothing about him, but they weren't all that resentful, because it was his arrival that finally gave everything a chance to change.

This person was a natural disaster, and also a savior god.
