The Foolish Beauty Gets Everything

Sui'er is a low-ranking palace maid who sweeps and cleans the Buddhist shrine. She gets up earlier than the chickens and goes to bed later than the dogs. Every day, she has to endure the dead old matron's constant harassment, and sometimes she even has to take the blame for her mistress.

The feudal imperial system is so harmful!

Her little face twists with indignation. Every day, while taking a break from cleaning, she kneels before the Buddha and curses the emperor, wishing that he would choke on his water, fall out of his sedan chair, get bitten while playing with his dog, and be impotent for the rest of his life.

The Buddha gazes down with compassionate eyes and says nothing.

After cursing him out, Sui'er feels a little guilty and looks around. No one seems to have seen her.

First, the normally chaste emperor visits every concubine in the harem within a single month, repeatedly summoning the imperial physicians. Then the dog he had pampered like a lord for years bites him.

Everyone in the palace holds their breath, and the atmosphere is grim.

Heh! An emperor who takes his anger out on palace servants is definitely not a good emperor!

Sui'er trembles with fear and becomes more obedient than ever. She even stops talking back when the matron scolds her.

There aren't enough hands for the New Year's Eve banquet, so she's reassigned to serve at the feast. Clutching a wine pot, she nervously pours wine for the emperor.

He had been resting with his eyes lowered, but for some reason, he suddenly opens them and looks toward her hand, which is right beside him.

Content warnings: 1. The male lead is not a virgin. After meeting the female lead, he gives her his exclusive affection. Whether he does or not, there's nothing she can do about it. He's a jerk at first, but later becomes hopelessly lovesick.

2. The female lead is a bit of an airhead, but loves causing trouble. She'll drug one person and poison another, scheming to secure her position. Every time, the entire harem sees through her, and the male lead gets angry for a moment.
