The Little Cousin of the Tyrant in Troubled Times

A turbulent age in chaos, with warlords vying for supremacy.

The Su family was slaughtered while moving their household, and only a young girl survived, rescued and escorted back to the capital.

The current ruler is a young warlord who fought his way to power amid the chaos. At seventeen, he knows how to recognize and employ talent and harbors ambitions for the whole realm. His only flaw is his volatile temperament: capricious, impulsive, and widely known as a tyrant.

A palace servant reported that his mother's family had been massacred, with only her eight-year-old cousin still alive. His mother wanted to raise the girl herself.

He had no objections and gave his approval. She was just an orphan, after all. They only had to take good care of her.

And then he raised her in the imperial bed.

Warnings: The age gap is nine years, and the romance begins after the heroine comes of age. They start out as siblings, then things change. They are biological cousins. The author just likes this sort of thing :). If you ask, they won't have any bad children. The pen is in my hand.

Theme: Love is precious, but life is worth even more.
