Defiling the Buddha

Guan Yun had just transmigrated when disaster struck. Her parents died, and because of her unusual constitution, she was sent to Luoxia Temple, where she grew up surrounded by Buddhist chants.

Life at the temple was peaceful, and she often accompanied her elders into the world to save lives and heal the wounded.

It was quiet and happy.

That was until the demon clan invaded, and Patriarch Xuanjing, who had been in seclusion for twenty years, flew out of the forbidden grounds.

His features were compassionate, his eyes cold, his bearing like gold and jade, unmatched in a hundred lifetimes.

She fell in love at first sight.

He was a mighty Buddhist cultivator rarely seen in a hundred lifetimes. A string of red sandalwood prayer beads swept through the demon realm, keeping the demons from crossing the border for a hundred years.

He was also a deity, noble and unattainable in the eyes of the world.

Guan Yun carefully hid her unspeakable feelings and served him as a junior disciple, never daring to cross the line.

One accident later, Xuanjing was affected by a demonic desire fruit. While out of his mind, he was intimate with her for several days, shattering centuries of Buddhist cultivation.

Guan Yun was terrified and despairing, and fled in the middle of the night.
