The Straight Girl Doesn't Want to Date

At a new product launch, Fu Lan, one of the lead researchers, stood onstage presenting the data.

A reporter in the audience asked, "What do you think of the product's spokesperson?"

Gu Jianxing was a top-tier star, 1.9 meters tall, with broad shoulders and a slim waist. He had recently become famous overseas for his looks, so it was hard not to know who he was.

Fu Lan smiled politely. "He's excellent."

After the launch, Gu Jianxing came over with a glass of wine and talked nonstop for half an hour.

Unable to take it anymore, Fu Lan asked, "Do you know who I am?"

He froze for a moment, then ground out through clenched teeth, "I'm your high-school classmate."

During a break in their second year of high school, Fu Lan's friend asked if she'd ever liked anyone.

She said, "Yes. The top student in our grade."

"Did you get together?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because he's second in the grade now. I only like people who's better than me."

Gu Jianxing worked hard for a whole year, but he was still at the bottom of his class.

Later, his breathtaking looks made him a household-name top-tier star.

No one knew.

He spent ten whole years climbing from last place into her field of vision.
