The Second Sunshower

The cicadas suddenly fell silent, and a sun shower began.

Beneath the eaves of an old street,

rain soaked canvas shoes and white shirts.

Their eyes met!

They leapt into the rain.

That summer at seventeen, the sun shone while the rain fell.

Strange weather, strange feelings, and meeting you, strange as you were.
