[Currently drafting; this will be my next novel]
Lin Yanqiu read a stupid comic that made him furious. The strong, tragic villain was tortured to death by the hypocritical protagonist, left without even a whole corpse.
After transmigrating, he became a rabbit beastman with little fighting ability. Lying behind him was the villain, Cang Lin, a Northeast tiger.
Cang Lin was the strongest in the tribe, but his trusted follower joined forces with the treacherous protagonist to set him up. His legs were crippled, and he was gravely wounded and on the verge of death.
His other underlings had already fled in terror, leaving only Lin Yanqiu, a cannon-fodder who had just transmigrated and was a moment too slow, standing all alone.
Lin Yanqiu looked at the gravely injured, unconscious tiger beastman, a "Northeast golden tabby," then at the ongoing rainstorm disaster and the webpage interface that had lit up. He tightened his grip on the hoe in his hands.
He chopped wood and cut grass, mixed mud and built a home, going from a drafty hut to a wooden house and then a stone house that could keep out the wind and rain. He turned the soil, dug channels and diverted water, transforming a barren slope covered in rocks into fertile farmland.
He cooked the food, making coarse beast meat tender and fragrant. He gathered wild fruits and flower nectar, brewing sweet, refreshing fruit drinks and honey syrup. He wove nets and caught fish, hauling up plump, delicious fish, shrimp, crabs, and clams.
Potatoes, sweet potatoes, and corn grew wildly in the fields, yielding far more and growing much faster than the native crops of the beast world. Tender greens and crisp, sweet radishes soon sprouted too, completely replacing the bitter, hard-to-swallow wild vegetables.
Under his care, the once shabby, backward little tribe, looked down on by everyone, gradually changed.
A city-state rose from the wasteland, scattered clans flocked to join them, and even the tribes that had once bullied the weak were all absorbed.
A thousand clans bowed their heads; ten thousand beasts paid homage.
Lin Yanqiu united the continent, brought the entire beast world under his rule, and became the Beast Emperor who governed the lands in every direction.
*
When Cang Lin returned to his true form as a Northeast tiger, he was enormous, with thick, glossy fur and half-lidded golden eyes. He looked ferocious, yet let the rabbit beastman in his arms rub soft rabbit ears all over him.
He had once thought he would die in darkness and despair. He never expected this determined man, who knew how to farm and cook, to pull him out of the abyss, saving him and giving him a new life.
The once violent, cruel Northeast tiger, decisive in killing, showed Lin Yanqiu gentleness, obedience, and loyalty.
His huge paws gently curled around the little rabbit in his arms, keeping him safe as he guarded the home they'd reclaimed from the wilderness together.
