The Ming Dynasty's Number One Wage Earner

Jiang Bozhong died of a heart attack after being driven to the brink by his fake-person boss. He then transmigrated to the turbulent final years of the Yuan dynasty, becoming a strategist in the service of Young Master Zhu.

Young Master Zhu wasn't very educated, but he understood plain speech, was humble and eager to learn, took responsibility for his subordinates, and was handsome to boot.

Jiang Bozhong was moved to tears. "What kind of immortal boss is this?"

Then Young Master Zhu changed his name to Zhu Yuanzhang.

That Zhu Yuanzhang, famous for being stingy with pay?

That Zhu Yuanzhang, famous for making his subordinates work themselves to the bone?

That Zhu Yuanzhang, famous for making employees who quit die, and making slackers die too?

Jiang Bozhong wept. It was too late to quit, so he could only work hard and try to reform his boss along the way.

But there was only so hard one could work. He was just an ordinary strategist, so why was he the one everyone turned to when supplies ran low? When military discipline needed to be restored? When personnel had to be assigned? ...

Jiang Bozhong finally snapped. "Get lost! Don't come to me to mediate your family drama!"

Zhu Yuanzhang's verdict: "Sir is extremely useful, a true all-purpose talent."

In a nutshell: After transmigrating, he joins Zhu Yuanzhang's rebellion, rising from an obscure nobody to the greatest minister in history.
