Ruan Chi's online romance went spectacularly wrong.

In a moment of folly, he used a photo of himself dressed as a girl to start an online relationship. What he never imagined was that his online love interest would be Cen Yan, the cool underclassman who shared his dorm.

Ruan Chi agonized every day over how to come clean. Before he could figure out what to say, Cen Yan discovered the truth on his own and forgave him. Ruan Chi breathed a sigh of relief and "amicably broke up" with his underclassman.

He assumed things would be awkward in the dorm from then on. But he never expected that Cen Yan, who seemed like the ultimate social butterfly, was also an otaku who collected anime merchandise.

Ruan Chi: "You collect merch too, junior? Why didn't you say so sooner? ☺️"

Cen Yan had known from the very beginning that Ruan Chi was his online love interest.

At first, he just thought it was fun and wanted to tease this socially anxious senior who always got stiff around him. But watching Ruan Chi spend all day fretting over keeping his identity secret, he had no choice but to expose him and "amicably break up" with his senior.

What he hadn't expected was that Ruan Chi would mistake him for an otaku merch collector. To keep up the act, Cen Yan had no choice but to secretly memorize all the collector lingo.

Cen Yan: "CN, merch hunting, official goods, selling a kidney... Selling a kidney?! 😨"

Ruan Chi: "I'm just sending this for you to look at. Your boyfriend's money doesn't grow on trees, so you don't have to buy it for me [Merch.JPG] 🫣"

Cen Yan: "Send me the link 😎"

Ruan Chi: "Hubby, I love you ❤️"

Reader's Guide:

1. Both are each other's first and only love, younger top

2. A sweet little romance

3. A realistic take, with things like encountering shady sellers, scam groups, and scam shops while collecting merch 🙄, a scenic sea view turning into cheap common merch 😱, and rusty tin badges 😵‍💫, among other things.
