Forced to Fake a Romance with My Roommates to Build My Channel

Yu Shu was so stressed about completing her social media account management assignment that he was practically going bald.

No one watched the videos he painstakingly edited. Every one of his RedNote and Douyin accounts had been throttled so badly he was questioning his life choices, and his backend stats were utterly dismal.

Then, late one night, he came across a video of boys in a dorm flirting with each other. It had hundreds of thousands of likes, and the comments were going wild shipping them. The roommates in the video were playfully fighting over food and messing around with the creator. The screen practically overflowed with youthful energy and romantic tension.

Yu Shu's eyes lit up, and he shot upright in bed. Weren't all three of his roommates handsome and in great shape? Wasn't this exactly the kind of ready-made viral formula heaven had handed him?

Yu Shu patted his chest and promised his roommates the moon: "Just help me shoot a few videos. If they go viral, I'll make sure you get to eat and drink like kings!"

Jiang Xu, the taciturn top student: "What's the pay?"

Ji Cheng, the sunny, cheerful athlete: "Sounds fun! I'm in!"

Song Yan, the gentle and considerate dorm head: "Sure."

As expected, the video went viral across the internet. Fans shipped the couples until they lost all sense of time, and the comments went completely wild.

[Waaah, the teasing straight-boy bottom is so delicious! I'm screaming, wifey!]

[This isn't acting! They're just being themselves!]

[Please give me another episode! I'll do anything!]

The daily filming gradually went off the rails.

The planned arm-over-the-shoulder brotherly pose turned into Jiang Xu holding his hand and refusing to let go.

The planned dorm game turned into Ji Cheng pulling him into his arms and feeding him snacks.

The planned promotional couple act turned into Song Yan secretly biting his earlobe in the camera's blind spot.
