Rumor Has It the Crown Prince and the Marshal Are at Odds

The marshal returned victorious, only to be met with a cold shoulder from the Crown Prince. Rumor had it he'd even been confined to a side palace.

[So it's true that the Crown Prince and the marshal are at odds.]

[Could it be the Emperor's doing?]

[A scary thought: What if the marshal was found to be harboring treasonous intentions, and that's why...?]

[Oh my god! I'm only worried about what happens to us if the palace and the marshal fall out! QAQ]

As one of the people involved, the marshal himself looked relaxed, with not the slightest sign of discomfort at being under house arrest.

Lin Xiwu came in, clamped a hand around his neck, and forced him to look up. His voice was icy. "Your mental energy is in such a mess, and you still dared to play the hero? Did you take my words for background noise?"

"I was wrong." Chu Cen turned his head and kissed Lin Xiwu's hand, pretending to be weak. "Your Highness, I feel awful. It would be so much better if I could smell your sweet pheromones."

Then he got exactly what he wanted: the noble Crown Prince's pheromones, and a slap.

Mm, sweet.

Rumors that the Crown Prince and the marshal were at odds continued to spread.

Until the Crown Prince ascended the throne and immediately appointed an empress.

At the coronation ceremony, the man standing beside the new Emperor looked more and more like the marshal.

That night, the whole nation went wild.

[At odds? They look like they're very much together to me!!!]

At dawn, a post shot to the top of the feed.

[Here's a little rumor I can guarantee is true.

Before becoming Crown Prince, the Emperor attended Dihui Military Academy. Back then, two students from the East and West Districts, both in his year, were called the twin lights of Dihui. Later, they fought side by side several times and became very close.

We know one of them is the Emperor. Want to guess who the other one is?]

[Reading Guide]

1. The story starts during their military academy years (college), for now.

2. To be added.
