The End of the Occult Is Debt Collection

Shen Xia transmigrates from the cultivation world back to the 1990s. She's only seven years old, and her parents divorced four years ago, leaving her with her grandparents in the countryside.

Other transmigrators get perks like pocket dimensions and spirit springs. Her perk is the Tongbao Pawnshop, bound to her soul.

Its core KPI is "collecting debts," and its cultivation method is "settling accounts."

Shen Xia also discovers that this world has ghosts!

She looks at the vengeful spirits' sky-high "resentment debts" and "karma loans," and her mouth practically waters. She's itching to get started!

What kind of evil spirits are these? They're walking, high-interest "spiritual energy investments"!

And so, from then on...

Shen Xia disguises herself as a Taoist priest.

But while others exorcise evil, she "settles accounts." While others help spirits cross over, she "collects collateral."

With a stroke of her cinnabar brush, she draws in the air. Spiritual energy and karmic force mingle into ink, forming a contract from thin air:

"Every grievance has its source, every debt its debtor. I can help you settle your karma, but in return, you must pay with all your resentment."

"Sign, and I'll help you collect what you're owed. Refuse, and if you keep wreaking havoc, I'll take you in as an 'unredeemed item.'"

"The choice is yours."

Shen Xia: Ever since I went into debt collection professionally, my cultivation has grown faster than inflation.

Side effect: I look at everyone as if they owe me money, even dogs barking at me on the street.

A friendly reminder: Your retribution is unavoidable and will arrive immediately.

Also known as: The Strongest Karma Debt Collector of the Modern Era

Notes:

Simplified conversion formula:

Spiritual energy gained = debt principal (strength of karmic force) × interest rate (degree of karmic entanglement) × settlement efficiency (compatibility between one's cultivation and magic treasures)

P.S.

1: This novel features Chinese-style horror and folk supernatural tales.

2: The "karma debt collection" system is fictional, and the heroine uses it to cultivate.

3: This novel is entirely fictional. Do not associate it with reality, and do not take it as fact!
