1. Jujutsu Kaisen arc: The Divine Child

Every day, three-year-old Satoru looks forward to one thing: after finishing a pile of tedious, boring lessons, he can return to the little courtyard, throw himself into his mother's arms, and be gently stroked. But that beautiful dream shatters when he's seven. He no longer has a mother.

"Sleep, sweetheart. If you're tired, get a good night's rest. Mommy's here."

"Mommy."

Unable to accept that they would never see each other again, he cursed her.

2. Jujutsu Kaisen arc: Sukuna

The mountain god loves all people and takes in a dying monster. He's unruly, a born villain, and hides the truth and deceives her. The mountain god patiently cares for and teaches him, again and again, never realizing that this indulgence will also lead to his destruction.

The villagers discover the mountain god is sheltering the monster. Their faith fades, and her divine power weakens.

In the final battle, the mountain god acts out of selfish love, using up all her divine power to protect the monster. The mountain god dies.

Is the monster crying?

3. Jujutsu Kaisen arc: Toji

One casual act of kindness made a young maid from the Zenin family cling to him. Toji never expected that, when he left the Zenin family, she would be bold enough to run away and follow him.

This was the closest he ever came to happiness, but one foot was already in despair.

"Megumi. We'll call him Megumi. He's a blessing from heaven, Toji."

His wife left nothing behind except two infants who still needed to be nursed.

His five-year-old daughter was obedient and sensible, caring for her younger brother and managing the household. She hoped her father would spend a little more time at home. The brokenhearted man never noticed the hope in her eyes and left without looking back.

That very night, his daughter was killed by the blade of an enemy curse user.

All the man saw was blood covering the ground. Unable to accept losing someone once again, he picked up the lifeless child and cursed her.

4. Demon Slayer arc: The Demon King

He loathed the ignorant girl who was his sister by blood. Her smile, her eager closeness, her pity: all of it disgusted him.

"Big brother, once you're better, let's fly a kite together. I love butterflies the most!"

"Just kidding. You're the person I love most in the world, big brother!"

His sister turned into a demon and never got to fulfill that wish. She wouldn't even linger. She became a butterfly and vanished beneath the sunlight.

Bad ending achieved: The Fallen Butterfly.

5. Demon Slayer arc: The Tsugikuni Brothers

His daughter was lively and adorable. Tsugikuni Yoriichi couldn't put into words how precious she was to him.
