At the Aoba Johsai High School entrance ceremony, Shimizu Mio labeled her upperclassman Oikawa: [The kind of guy who's very determined to reach his goals, and a little childish, too.]

Later, he asked her to meet in the club room and laid it all out: "Shimizu, I can hear your thoughts."

Mio: "?"

From then on, Aoba Johsai's star setter got to listen in on all the times she roasted him.

"Mio-chan called me a man-child in her head today."

"I heard you think I look really cool when I play volleyball, Mio-chan."

"Were you just thinking about touching my hair, Mio-chan? Then reach out already!!"

Mio wrote in her notebook, her expression blank:

Oikawa. Male. Zero romantic experience. Volleyball brain at an advanced stage. Possibly using me as a test subject because he's curious about romance??

Until one day, Oikawa asked hesitantly, "Who's Gin? And are the sandwiches Scotch and Bourbon make really that good? Mio-chan, could you give me an alcohol-themed nickname too?"

!! The pen fell from Shimizu Mio's hand.

The secret she'd hidden for two lifetimes, that past filled with liquor, undercover agents, and bloodshed, was being heard bit by bit by an eighteen-year-old volleyball idiot!

Later, Oikawa pinned her against a corner wall in the gym, his breath hot.

"Mio-chan, it's not because I'm curious, and it's not because I can hear your thoughts."

"It's because I love you."

"I really love you."

Reader's Guide:

1. One-on-one romance with a happy ending, from school life to Argentina. A pure-hearted romantic x a clueless girl.

2. The heroine transmigrated from the Detective Conan world. She's a real liquor member of the Black Organization, while the Detective Conan plot in this world mostly stays in the background.

3. The hero can hear the heroine's thoughts, but only the parts related to him. This will be resolved later.

Shui Xueli: Really, you won't consider it? Great pay, great benefits, and you could work with Rei Furuya.

Akai: ...I'm going to be an FBI agent.

Shui Xueli: I know, but don't you want to experience what it's like to go undercover inside an undercover operation?

Akai: ...

Shui Xueli: Fine, I was just asking.

Akai still didn't join the police academy, but he ended up with a group of friends who loved causing trouble.

One day, the police academy squad and Akai cornered Shui Xueli together.

A group of people dragged Shui Xueli over to the gate of Teitan Elementary School.

Rei: Go on.

Shui Xueli: Go where?

Hiromitsu: Go spoil the plot.

Shui Xueli: ...Have you all lost your minds?

Date: Don't you love spoiling the plot? Here's your chance.

Akai, standing off to one side with his arms folded: I'm just here to watch the show.

A certain Edogawa walked out with his backpack on.

Shui Xueli was shoved forward, right into Conan's puzzled gaze.

Shui Xueli, expression blank: Great detective.

Conan's eyes widened in shock: !!

Shui Xueli, still expressionless: Shinichi Kudo.

Conan: !!!!

Shui Xueli glanced back at the five grown men and one FBI agent struggling to stifle their laughter in the corner, then sighed.
