Please Don't Tease the Abandoned Dog [GB]

A short story, around 100,000 characters. Male lead suffers, told from his perspective.

The two meet when she is 16 and he is 18.

The story begins when she is 28 and he is 30.

In a nutshell:

"I've been with you since I was eighteen. You can't treat me like this. You can't, you can't just leave me."

A simple blurb, to be revised and expanded:

She left me ten years ago. Now our only connection is her asking me for a selfie every night...

But there's nothing else I can give her.

She likes my face and my body. They're the last things I have left to give her.

But one day I'll grow old and lose my looks, and she'll leave me for good.

But I love her.

No logic, just pure personal preference.

Theme: While the blossoms are within reach, pluck them. Don't wait until they've fallen and leave you picking at bare branches.
