1.

Wen Sijiu's unchanging assessment of Wen Siwu was this:

A pitiful old man who stubbornly trapped himself in a cage of moral rigidity, repressing himself until he went mad.

Her older brother had taken responsibility for both the company and her care from childhood. Long ago, in a corner she had never noticed, he had begun wandering down a twisted path.

No brother could help loving his younger sister... No brother could help loving his younger sister...

He loved her.

To Wen Sijiu, that was only natural.

The quiet sighs after he had sat at home time and again, waiting for her to return late; the arm that would subtly curl around her to keep other men at a distance; the silent gaze as he dealt with old flames who tried to pester her...

That was just what a big brother was supposed to do, right?

And the bathroom door that was never locked while he showered, the bedroom door left slightly ajar even late at night, the soft gasps that occasionally slipped out...

That was just her brother's private life, right?

Wen Sijiu played the part of a good younger sister who didn't listen, didn't look, and didn't ask.

Until one day she came home and looked up, only to find surveillance cameras openly mounted in the entryway, living room, kitchen...

They occupied nearly every shared space.

Wen Sijiu sat against the headboard, while the screen at the foot of the bed showed Wen Siwu's bedroom.

With lips pressed together, he slowly opened the gift box prepared for him long ago and took out a collection of strange, skimpy outfits, putting them on one by one with deliberate slowness.

As the last piece of sheer fabric settled over him, barely concealing his trembling body, he suddenly stopped and looked straight toward the camera.

In those eyes, steeped in nearly thirty years of longing, Wen Sijiu saw the fulfillment of a wish at last.

Just as expected.

No brother could help loving his younger sister.
